March 25th, 2014 is Arts Advocacy Day!
Today, organizations and members of the U.S. Congress are speaking up about the importance of the arts in education in schools. Organizations, @americansforthearts and @philaculture have specific programs addressing key issues in arts education funding and key development strategies for the arts in U.S. schools. Read interviews with local #phillyarts curators about being an arts advocate.

If you would like to learn more about arts advocacy in America's schools, listen to a #TedTalk by Studio Museum in Harlem curator, Thelma Golden. Here she explores how art examines, redefines culture, and provokes new dialogues about race.
