Artology 2009 was a successful year of momentum. Most significantly we grew from 3 to 5 weeks and from one age group to two separate age groups allowing us to specialize curriculum to the appropriate ages. We almost doubled participation with 41 students (up from 21 in 2008). 55% of students had perfect or near perfect (only missing one day) attendance.
Artology served students who were: 46% female, 54% male, and 84% African American. 83% of students came from families at or below Federal Poverty Level or from low-income households. 26% of students were coping with homelessness.
